Pastrol Care and Prayer

“Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers.Be shepherds of the Church of God, which he bought with his own blood”. Acts 20:28

Our congregation offers support and love to anyone who is needing it. There are teams of volunteers who provide meals when necessary, funeral teas, cottage services to visit the homebound, prayer and visits to those in need. Anyone needing pastoral care, counselling or support can contact the Minister at the Office (013 753 3214) or, in emergency or after hours on 072 192 2880.

A few of our pastoral care ministries are as follows :

Each day people from our congregation visit those whom we know are sick in hospital and care for them and their families in whatever way they can. This ministry has touched so many lives and has seen many families through extremely difficult times. Often people from far-off places are in hospital in Nelspruit and the love they receive brings them closer to our Lord and eases their burden.

As the hospitals are not able to publish a list stating the denomination of patients, PLEASE NOTIFY THE OFFICE IF YOU ARE GOING TO HOSPITAL, and to which hospital, in order that we can care for you.

If your loved one is in hospital in another town or city, we will also contact the nearest Methodist Church and ask their hospital visitors to go and see them and pray for them. Please let the office know if you are ever in this situation and we will contact the nearest Church.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Phillipians 4:6

A band of ladies and men are permanently on call to pray for any prayer requests forwarded to them. They link telephonically and will pray for whatever situation, crisis or illness is being faced.

Di Hattingh is the coordinator and can be contacted through the Church Office. If you wish to join the prayer chain, please contact the Church Office.

All requests are treated confidentially. You are invited to allow this prayer circle to support you in your time of need, by contacting the Church Office 013 753 3214 or the Minister after-hours 072 192 2880.

The vision of the Prayer and Healing Team is to make our church a refuge for those who are troubled. This ministry team serves our Lord and Saviour by fulfilling His instructions to preach the gospel and to heal the sick. Team members meet regularly to be equipped for this ministry and to organise the healing services as well as the occasional seminar. Anyone in need of healing and care can contact the Church Office. Likewise if you wish to join this team, please contact the Church Office

Contact Di Hattingh for prayer and Dave Tye - 082 926 1757 for hospital visitations

Opportunities for healing and prayer will be arranged at worship services.
