THE DASHA FOUNDATION
The DASHA FOUNDATION is a school and centre for the mentally and physically disabled. Nelmeth gives financial support as well as practical support and caring from the Women’s Auxiliary. Toiletries and other items are collected and donated to them on a regular basis. Our members can also be involved in voluntary assistance at the school e.g. teaching pottery, fund-raising, feeding the children, gardening etc.

Helen takes care of about 12 children in the Daantjie area who are either orphaned or whose families are incapable of caring for them. We help her by providing groceries and pay for a housemother to help her. Their needs are great. They live in a small house with no running water. Helen has no income and is still awaiting the government grants for the children. Our Church helps to feed and clothe these children. All donations in the form money, clothing or food can be handed in at the Church Office or brought to Church on Sundays. We appreciate any support we can get for them.
Nelmeth supports the work of the Nelspruit Community Forum. The NCF takes care of Nelpruit’s homeless and unemployed people by providing them with food and facilities to wash, clean and clothe themselves to help prepare them for job interviews. Their work is very far-reaching. We also donate clothes, food and other items to assist them. The Community Forum also tries to help these people with employment and documents.
